Brighton College Student Earns 4 A+ While Taking on the Role of Full-time Caretaker for Mother with EDS
An 18-year-old student has achieved four A+ at A-level while acting as full-time carer to his disabled mother. Robin Denham, from Shoreham, achieved his results in Spanish, Chinese, maths and further maths at Brighton College and will go on to study modern languages at Corpus Christi, Cambridge.
He moved to Sussex with mother Rosie, 52, who has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, from near Carmarthen in south-west Wales, specifically to study at the independent school. Mr Denham said: “It’s still a bit of a shock, I am proud, considering what has been going on in exam season it’s pretty incredible.”
