Physical Properties of the Skin in the Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
source: Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases
year: 1969
authors: Grahame R, Beighton P
summary/abstract:Although hyperextensibility of the skin is a prominent feature of the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), there have been few objective measurements of the physical properties of the skin in this condition. The purpose of this paper is to describe the results of certain measurements and to discuss their significance in the light of present theories of the nature of the basic defect in the EDS.
