Theoharis Constantin Theoharides was born on Feb. 11, 1950 in Thessaloniki, Greece where he finished high school on scholarship at Anatolia College. He received his BA (Biology), MS (Immunology), MPhil (Endocrinology), PhD (Pharmacology) and M.D. (Medicine) degrees with honors from Yale University and was awarded the Winternitz Price in Pathology. He served on the Research Faculty of Allergy and Immunology at Yale (1978-1983). He trained in internal medicine at New England Medical Center (NEMC), Boston, MA and was a member of the Thessaloniki Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society. He joined Tufts University in 1983, was tenured in 1991 and became full professor in 1995.
