Dr. Burkholder, a board certified pediatric cardiologist, received his medical degree at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He completed his pediatric residency and his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center, where he also served as chief fellow. Dr. Burkholder is board certified in pediatrics. Dr. Burkholder was born and raised in Houston. His areas of clinical interest are congenital heart disease, exercise physiology, chest pain and fainting. Dr. Burkholder enjoys working with student athletes to help ensure that their hearts are healthy.
